Nepal with Fan Applique'

For this outfit, I used Violet batik rayon for the Nepal Top and Pants. It was stamped (very subtly) all over with a Japanese Fan #3.

The same fan design was enlarged into an appliqué for the back. Notice I didn't use the "button plackets" on this version.

This pattern makes a very nice top even without that detail! Modeled by
Jane Schreven.

Lee Ann's Nepal

Bali Jungle in the focus of this garment, accented with deep violet. Inset in to the button plackets is the triangular design from the Bali Jungle fabric. Covered buttons make a stylish closure.

The skirt is made doubled using the violet for the underskirt. Make your own with beautiful batik rayon!

Fl-Air Frogs in Nepal

What a fun sample to work on! Marlis Kuusela's airbrushed frogs and companion textured fabric made this version of Nepal stunning!

We modified the top to a cropped version adding only three button tabs.
Textured fabric was added to the frogs to extend the tabs, and then bound buttonholes in the solid green were inserted in to the contrast fabric.
The tabs were also stitched with a 'pointed' end to accentuate the single button on each. One frog was used on the blouse back with button and bead detail.

The skirt is made from the companion textured fabric with two frogs guarding the side slit openings.
