Step
1
Paint Pad - spread
evenly with a spatula, or back
of a spoon. When ready, pad
will be squishy and wet, but
paint will be absorbed. It takes
a little while, have patience! |
Step
2
Lightly tap up and down
on pad - don’t
push down on pad, as stamp
will become saturated! |
Step
3
Check to
see if image is painted-
if not, continue a light
tapping on the pad don't
push hard! Only the
image needs to be painted! |
Step
4
Hold stamp over area
to be stamped - line
up and with one hand holding
the stamp, push fingers of
your other hand on the mount
to get a great impression!
For best results
stamp on a lightly padded surface, like a piece of felt. |
Step 5
Clean off
stamp. Baby wipes make
a great portable cleaning tool.
A soft toothbrush and mild dish
detergent are best for cleaning
detailed stamps. |
Step
6
For added detail, color in your
image with brush tip fabric markers! |
Step 7
Let stamped
images dry, then heat set with
a dry iron. Curing
is necessary for all textile
paints. Allow your
stamped fabric to dry thoroughly
for 24 to 48 hours before washing.
The longer you allow it to
cure, the better the image
will remain. Heat setting is
recommended to keep the vibrancy
of the colors and images after
washings! Iron over your image
with the hottest setting your
fabric will take, for 30 to 45
seconds. |
Paper
Stamping
Our paints work well for
stamping on paper, the image
is permanent so you can color
in with water colors and it won’t
bleed! It does take a bit longer
to dry before coloring than regular
paper ink.
Stamp on
Wood
The surface
should be unsealed and not painted
for best results (flat dull finish
paints are okay). Paint or color
in the image with fabric markers,
then seal with a water-based
varnish, it won’t run! |
