Bias Fun

Because of the unique bias bands on this jacket you can get marvelous effects with plaids (or stripes!).

Of course no garment is complete without a coordinating stamped lining.

I used Black hang loose lining stamped with Celtic Knot images to match the buttons!

Quilted Linen

I used lavender linen for the body of the jacket. It has been softly quilted with matching thread in a 2" diamond pattern. A cotton print (with a bit of it's own diamond design) finishes it off nicely.

Quilted with Sulky rayon thread in a tone-on-tone look.

I used Grape hang loose lining stamped with Retro Swirl Square images.

Quilt-n-Shrink Poly Lining

I used Lapis Hang Loose lining for both the body of the jacket and the lining. The body has been quilted over flannel in a random pattern. When washed (pieces are quilted before garment construction) the flannel shrinks creating the puckered effect. A batik cotton print adds a stunning contrast for the bands.

Random quilting stitches were fast to sew and follow the idea from the printed band.

The lining is stamped with Large Curly Cue images to reflect the curves in the patterned band.
