Maroon Quilted Fleece

Fabric is available at The Sewing Place
This double sided fleece is a dream to sew and wear! The hood is a single layer, taking advantage of the bonded underside.

Pendleton Woolen Mill Store

I love making samples for my customers!
Made from their stunning wool, I crafted this amazing hoodie.Coordinating caramel solid twill weave with woven print.

Since the wool does not stretch, the band and cuffs are gathered on.A section of the print is appliqued to the sleeve.

Buffalo Plaid Flannel and Sweatshirt Knit

So comfy! Soft buffalo plaid I found on one of my travels, and cotton sweatshirt knit.I like to roll the edge of the hood so the solid side looks like it has a binding.
The in-seam outside pocket also doubles as an inside hidden pocket.

Speckled Grey French Terry Knit

This fabric is beautiful all on its own with speckles of black and metallic gold. The hood is unlined and bound with fold over elastic.

A detail of couched black cording was added for embellishment with a simple machine blanket stitch. The cord was run along the shoulder seam and straight down the sleeve.

Seahawks Argyle Knit

I had fun with this "Seahawks" color version. The grey showcases the bright argyle print, while the green adds a pop of color.

Detail of the "thumb cuff" style.

Brown Plaid Fleece Knit

Plaid fleece was paired with a velvet-like heavy knit. The hood and thumb cuffs were lined with a super soft curly knit.

Button Placket Double Knit

An option to the zipper front is using a button placket.I used a mix of random white buttons from my stash.

Plaid Flannel and Ponte Knit

My first test sample. I added the band below the zipper stop, and decided afterward I didn't like the way it looked.I do however love the combination of the flannel with the knit. So cozy!
